International Program Officer

Tearfund is looking for an International Program Officer

(2yr fixed term contract, part time (0.8 FTE))

Use your superb international development skills to nurture respectful and effective working relationships with local partners in South Asia as they work with communities to address poverty and injustice. An opportunity to work with one of Australia’s most-loved international development agencies.

Is this you? To be successful in this role, you will have;

• Good development practice
• Excellent project administration skills
• Experience working with project management systems.
• Skills in program design and implementation including management of compliance obligations and related systems.
• Ability to engage with multiple partners and stakeholders and work collaboratively.
• Ability to prioritise and manage multiple competing demands.
• Experience living in a developing country.
• Experience working effectively across cultures.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills and ability to create reports.
• A sound understanding of Tearfund and commitment to working towards ending poverty, challenging inequality and building sustainable communities.
• Willingness to travel up to eight weeks per year to sometimes challenging locations.
• Relevant qualifications.

Position Location

Blackburn, Melbourne (ideally). COVIDSafe office requirements apply.
