About the role

When you are successful in this role, you’ll have the satisfaction of helping Tearfund work for a just and compassionate world through integrated and optimised IT systems and solutions.

This full-time role will play a critical part in Tearfund’s mission of engaging Australian supporters and partnering with locally-based Christian agencies around the world, through leading our IT team and building out integrated technology, tools and solutions.

Is this you? To be successful in this role, you will have;

  • An empowering leadership style that enables teams to do their best work
  • The ability to design innovative and resourceful solutions to complex problems
  • Strong strategic and systems thinking, balancing both big picture thinking with great attention to detail
  • A knack for quickly understanding the needs of non-technical teams and translating that into technical requirements and building fit-for-purpose IT solutions
  • Database management experience, along with programming abilities
  • System integration and software testing experience
  • Experience in managing IT teams and budgets, prioritising projects and resources in order achieve organisational objectives
  • A love for learning and staying on top of emerging trends and the latest in IT best practices, particularly in the area of cyber security.
