Play an integral role in the fundraising team addressing poverty and injustice in some of the world's hardest places through meaningful supporter experiences.


About the role

As someone who lives out their faith in practical and tangible ways, you will focus on refining supporter experiences to increase the impact of Tearfund’s work. You’ll optimise fundraising campaign strategies and refine supporter journeys, boosting acquisition, conversion and retention rates. You will also have a hand in developing compelling campaigns to boost engagement and financial support. This role spans strategy, campaign planning, goal setting, cross-department collaboration, research and analysis, content review and performance measurement. Campaigns and supporter journeys are to be built within a Christian discipleship framework to help build a movement of passionate Christians dedicated to addressing the root causes of poverty and injustice in some of the world’s hardest places.

Position Location: A mix of in-office at Blackburn, Melbourne with hybrid options currently available.

What this role will require...

  • Active Christian faith and strong commitment to Tearfund’s Christian mission, values and ethos, with the ability to encourage others in their faith and justice journeys, and to influence supporters towards support for Tearfund.
  • Relevant qualification in marketing, fundraising and/or 5+ years’ experience in fundraising, direct marketing, supporter engagement, customer experience design, campaign management and strategic planning.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Sound understanding of donor communication channels and the ability to coordinate sophisticated, donor-driven content, products, and campaigns.
  • Strong project management experience with the ability to establish and deliver outcomes on projects, within budget and timelines.
  • Ability to work proactively and to flex between independent and collaborative projects.
  • Demonstrated experience meeting KPIs and delivering significant financial results, including the ability to analyse and interpret data.
