Together we can bring hope to the world’s most vulnerable. Be part of this hope by giving to Tearfund today.
Give todayRosa (pictured) sadly lost her husband in an attack during the conflict in Mozambique. After walking for 75km, she and her children made it to a camp for internally displaced people.
“I long for the day the government announces the fighting is over and we can return to our homes,” says Ester, who watches as children play in the Ntokotoko Camp in Metuge, Mozambique, having fled violence in their home villages.
Life in the camp was difficult, but through the support of other women in this community and Tearfund’s local partners, she is able to care for her children and process her grief.
In these hard places, where communities are living in hope for a better tomorrow, Tearfund is helping to provide much needed food and hygiene support, at a time where COVID-19 is on the rise.
This year Tearfund celebrates our 50-year anniversary and around the world, our partners continue to live out this relentless hope in the face of enormous challenges. Across Asia, Africa and the Pacific, our partners are working alongside the most vulnerable communities impacted by COVID-19, and in Afghanistan, Mozambique, Ethiopia and Myanmar, Tearfund is working to support communities further impacted by conflict and violence.
Join Tearfund’s work of good news and restoration through a one-off or monthly gift.
The Spirit of the Lord is on me, because he has anointed me to proclaim good news to the poor. He has sent me to proclaim freedom for the prisoners and recovery of sight for the blind, to set the oppressed free, to proclaim the year of the Lord’s favour.
