At TEAR we recognise that in order to see a just and compassionate world we need to work together, using our voices, skills, time and energy to shift power, speak out and transform the systems and structures which hurt, oppress and marginalise individuals and communities.
Come and join us on Saturday 15 June for Doing Justice Together, and learn how you can lead and engage others to do justice together in your local faith community. You'll be challenged, inspired and equipped with practical skills to challenge poverty and injustice in creative and courageous ways.
The training will include:
- Theology of justice - why we're called to the poor
- Theology of church - why we're called to the body
- Building a movement for justice - introduction to the four phases of movement building
- Practical skills and tools for movement building, including relational one-to-one conversations, how to run a listening campaign and understanding your context.
Morning tea will be provided, alongside a delicious lunch by our friends at Parliament on King.
