We need your Instagram photos and videos!
This March, Tearfund is going to publish the most comprehensive report to date of Australian Christians’ attitudes towards climate change. This report will be published on 21 March but there’s one thing you can do now to start the conversation.
We invite you to join our ‘They shall inherit the earth’ instagram photo and video challenge. To participate, simply show us the beautiful earth around you through photos and videos, and dedicate the photo to your future generations.

How to participate:
- Post a photo / reel / video of the beautiful earth around you.
- Dedicate the post to our younger generation. You can also be specific and dedicate it to your loved ones.
- Use the hashtags #TheyShallInheritTheEarth #TearfundClimateReport
- Tag and invite your friends to participate, and ask them to visit Tearfund website or follow Tearfund social media to learn more about this important issue.
Note: Your instagram profile needs to be ‘public’ for the photo to be visible.
Together, we can start a new conversation about what it means to love God and love our neighbour as we care for this earth. Because the earth is the Lord’s and all who live in it - now and into the future.
Why this challenge?
Jesus said the meek will inherit the earth. The meek are the gentle, who hold their power with restraint.
This is how Jesus calls us to live. Yet we have fallen short of caring for the earth in this way and climate change is robbing younger generations, especially those who live in poverty, of their peace and hope for the earth they will inherit.
Despite its complexities, the issue of climate change is one we need to talk about. And, in fact, talking about it is one of the most important things we can do in response to the challenges it presents.
Now is the time for a new conversation. Let’s use our voices to bring hope and inspire others to live gently on this earth.
