At this moment, 700 million people live in the grip of extreme poverty.

While need is rising, global support is falling.

As global humanitarian needs continue to rise alongside increasing conflict, food and water insecurity and climate disasters, funding has dropped significantly. The timeline below shows this staggering reduction in global humanitarian funding and a selection of crises – representing just some of the many that Tearfund has responded to, and a fraction of the emergencies unfolding worldwide.
