Transform a meal around the table into a moment of abundance, belonging and justice.
In a cultural moment marked by division, scarcity and cynicism, the biblical image of the table speaks with surprising power. Throughout Scripture, tables are places of welcome and abundance, where outsiders find belonging and God’s provision overflows – and also places where Jesus confronts exploitation and injustice, flipping the tables that exclude the vulnerable.
Building on the themes explored in The Table devotional series, you and your community can gather to Share the Table this Lent, and together make a difference for communities held back by poverty.
Register to receive your Host Kit – a hands-on resource pack to help you open up your table to others and turn an ordinary meal into a moment of abundance, belonging and justice.
A time and place of your choosing. A menu that makes sense for you. We’ll give you support and ideas, but it’s really about bringing people together to share a table with Jesus and justice as the centrepiece.

After an overwhelming response, we’ve run out of printed Share the Table kits – but if you haven’t registered yet, it’s not too late – sign up for a digital Host Kit today! This kit contains your Conversation Cards and Host Guide, along with everything else you need for your Host The Table event.
We will begin to mail out the kits at the start of February, and then as registrations come in. We recommend signing up early so we can ensure your kit is prepared and sent out in that first batch!
We encourage you to plan to host your gathering from February 18th onwards to align with the start of the Lent season and the devotional series. However, the themes of abundance and justice are relevant all year! Once you have your Host Kit, you can run your Share the Table gathering at any time that works for you and your community.
Not at all! The focus is on sharing a table and inviting conversation and justice to be the centrepiece. The meal can be as simple as coffee and dessert, a potluck, or whatever makes sense for you and your community. We’ll give you ideas, but the menu that makes sense for you is the right one.
We warmly encourage you to think about who you can invite to the table who might not be a usual guest – someone who may be isolated, or perhaps from a different background or perspective. The goal is to create a moment of true belonging and demonstrate God’s overflowing generosity to all. Of course, close friends and family are welcome too!
You don't have to be signed up for the devotional series to host a Share the Table gathering. However, we do strongly encourage you (and your guests) to sign up for the weekly emails as the reflections provide a rich, theological foundation that will deepen your personal experience and enrich the conversations at your table.
There is a separate form to sign up for The Table devotional series. You can find it here.
