Vision Terudo is one of 47 local Christian partners we work with – walking alongside communities with deep local understanding and long-term commitment. Because poverty doesn’t end overnight, it ends when faithful partners stay and help tackle it at the roots.
Here, we’re sharing a special message from Peter, the Executive Director of Vision Terudo, and his team.
Greetings from Uganda, where I serve as executive director for Vision Terudo. We are a local organisation partnering with Tearfund, serving communities in the region of Karamoja. So many people in this region face incredible challenges due to high levels of poverty, drought and conflict. But we are seeing a remarkable difference in many lives – like Angelina and Lokoru – thanks to friends like you responding in hope, generosity and prayer.
Some of my team and I have recorded a message for you. We want to thank you, and show you what is possible when people like you partner with Tearfund to further the work of local Christian organisations like Vision Terudo.
As our board chair Charles says:
”In times of difficulty, in times of plenty and scarcity, you have always been standing together with us… People’s lives have been changed and they are able to support themselves.”
God has blessed us by your support – we are seeing it in improved food security, revived livelihoods and transformed lives – and we ask for your continued partnership. We are wanting to reach others like Angelina, knowing there are many more in urgent need of the care and provision that can help them take steps out of poverty.
