As communities in Myanmar rebuild and recover, your support is needed to help ensure the most vulnerable are protected and provided for.
In late March 2025, an earthquake in Myanmar brought further shock and instability to communities facing significant humanitarian challenges from years of conflict and displacement.
Prior to the earthquake, 19.9 million people required humanitarian assistance, including 6.3 million children and 15.2 million people who are food insecure. Humanitarian response in Myanmar has been severely impacted by the global shock to humanitarian funding in 2025, disrupting critical aid to many highly vulnerable populations.
Thanks to the compassion and generosity of the Tearfund community, we were able to raise over $250,000 to support our local partners’ response to the devastating earthquake in March. Read the latest on how these gifts are making an impact.
Now, as communities rebuild, your support can provide a lifeline.
Ongoing support for our local partners in Myanmar remains a priority. Their work was reaching vulnerable communities before the earthquake, and continues today, bringing lifelines of hope and transformation to people who now face even greater obstacles to flourishing.
