Tearfund Australia's relationship with SaCHA is beyond a partnership. The Tearfund team encourage, give hope, provide support, provide mentoring and continued coaching to organisational staff and communities. In the villages we work in, communities know by names the Tearfund Australia staff who only once in a year visit them!

We have experienced God’s perfect love working with the Tearfund Australia team. Tearfund not only provides generous support but prayer, and provides opportunities and builds capacity at the personal and organisational level. We have other partners, but partnerships like Tearfund Australia will be remembered always throughout the lives of the staff and beneficiaries.

United Mission to Nepal – Nepal

We try to represent God’s heart for the poor and oppressed through our work in remote and destitute areas of Nepal. We help traditionally marginalised people in Nepal to have a more just and empowered role in their communities; we help them break free from false self-belief, to see the capacities God has given them and build new ones on that foundation.

United Mission to Nepal (UMN) has been supported by Tearfund Australia for decades. Tearfund is one of our voting supporting partners, playing a role in UMN’s governance as a joint mission agency, as well as a provider of funds and (in the past) long-term volunteers for UMN’s service to the poor. For many years it provided core funding for our field offices, graciously giving us the foundation on which many other partners’ work depended. Tearfund is also a source of learning and ideas for us as we work together to try new things and jointly reflect on the course of our work together. We are grateful for Tearfund’s input into our strategy, for its willingness to provide help in key strategic areas, and for its commitment to prayer and genuine partnership.

Father, we thank you for Tearfund in this Jubilee year, and praise you for all that you have accomplished through our partnership together. Bless Tearfund and its work; bless all its staff and partners around the world. Open the ears of its leadership to your continuing call and guidance, that Tearfund would continue to accomplish extraordinary things on the path to which you've called it. North East India Committee on Relief and Development (NEICORD) – India

NEICORD’s community development focuses on sustainable community transformation where as an organisation we work to address both physical poverty and spiritual poverty. Being a Christian organisation, we fully understand that the community cannot experience the fullness of life unless they experience God’s love but at the same time, we cannot expect the people to experience God’s love if they cannot meet their basic needs and they face injustices.

NEICORD demonstrates the love of God by serving the poor and the oppressed irrespective of caste, creed, sex or religion. Our approach to development is always need-based and rights-based. Based on these, we implement projects addressing the needs of the people.

Tearfund has been a long-time funding partner of NEICORD. As an organisation we recognise the achievements made with the support of Tearfund. With the support of Tearfund, NEICORD could reach out to many people in north east India through community development programs and emergency response. With the support of Tearfund, NEICORD could work and fulfil its ministry towards achieving its mission and vision.

Local Afghan partner – Afghanistan

By implementing various projects, we seek to build close relationships with the community to understand their needs and problems and help them to release from their difficulties and injustice, leading them to access their rights and helping them to reach self-sufficiency, so that they are living in an optimal freedom and actual release and peace

Our relationship with Tearfund is based on mutual benefits and trust, where partners can achieve their goals and vision set out. Tearfund has facilitated learning opportunities for us to develop our structure and capacity of staff. Our relationship does not end with projects but is a partnership of reaching shared goals which is built on trust and accountability.

Local Partner – Afghanistan

We hold our relationship with Tearfund in the highest possible regard. The support and understanding by Tearfund of our realities, needs and challenges in Afghanistan has been truly a lifeline for us as we continue to serve people in desperate need of a message of hope and a better future. Tearfund has always been responsive to our calls for support and we are appreciative of that.

God Almighty, I pray that Your abundant blessings will rest upon our colleagues and friends of Tearfund Australia. I ask You to continue to minister to them with your love and compassion as they seek to bring hope and joy and healing through their efforts to support us in Afghanistan.

World Renew – Laos

God is a God of relationships. Family is God’s heart amongst the nations. By God’s grace, our work will always be about equipping and empowering the poor, the vulnerable, the outcast to experience God’s peace, freedom, and justice. This is the Good News in Laos. This is our collaborative Missio Dei work in Laos, “to do justly, to love mercy, and to walk humbly with our God”.

1 Corinthians 12:14 reads: “Even so the body is not made up of one part but of many”, and 1 Peter 4:10: “Each of you should use whatever gift you have received to serve others, as faithful stewards of God’s grace in its various forms”. Praise be to our God and creator for providing each one of us with the various gifts, the responsibilities, the opportunity and the call to be a part of the work of renewal, God’s restoration plan for all of creation. Strengthen us, direct all of our steps and provide us with discernment when making difficult decisions and choices, as World Renew and Tearfund continue to work in partnership with remote communities in Laos. May we all be faithful servants of all the resources and tasks we have been entrusted with.

I’d like to take the opportunity to congratulate and say happy anniversary to Tearfund Australia. Tearfund Australia have been funding Peace Bridges since 2004 and all of these years we have helped our community to reconcile with each other because of the conflict and violence in homes and in the community, and the conflict with ethnic and religious communities. We have helped them to reconcile with their families and with their communities, regardless of their races and their religions.

We also have helped our community to reconcile with the environment. As we are all aware, human needs have destroyed God’s creation. Human needs have destroyed our earth. Peace Bridges has helped our partners to come together regardless of their ethnic and their religious backgrounds to work together to restore our earth.

We would like to take this opportunity to say thank you to Tearfund Australia and all the supporters for all the long term commitment and support we’ve received so far from Tearfund Australia.

Local Afghan partner – Afghanistan

Tearfund Australia is one of our largest donors, but their support means more than just the money that they provide. They have worked with us to define new areas of work so that we can continue to evolve to changing needs. They have helped us to adapt our projects and programs to respond to COVID-19, providing additional funding so that we can keep our staff and the people that we are serving safe at this time. They have partnered with us on research papers so that we can evaluate and learn from what we have been doing, and share that learning with others. And, alongside that, we have known that Tearfund and their supporters have been lifting us up in prayer as we work in Afghanistan.

We thank God for Tearfund Australia and its many supporters who enable our work here in Afghanistan. Through this vital partnership, we are able to bring hope to many of the most marginalised here.
