Stories

Over the past couple of months, we’ve been so encouraged and inspired to gather with many of you at events around Australia! Here’s a snapshot of some of the great gatherings we’ve had with other like-minded people seeking God’s justice in our world.

WA Gathering, Journeying Towards Justice, August

Over 120 people gathered for our annual WA event, with one of the highlights being Natasha Short sharing about First People’s empowerment and a great group response to TEAR’s Rubbish Campaign.

WA - Bibbulmun Track Reconciliation Walk, September

Around 30 people went on the Bibbulmun Track Reconciliation Walk in WA. We listened to Uncle Alan Kickett and Pastor Mitchell Garlett and walked with Robbie Hansen. There was a great sense of community and people really appreciated walking sacred land and learning from such a diverse group of people. It broke down stereotypes, helped people understand Australia's history and be sent out to be agents of reconciliation.

Vic Weekender, September

This smaller event of around 60 people was designed intentionally to encourage TEAR supporters to go deeper and think about how we can act collectively towards justice. It wonderful time of sharing and learning together with great speakers including Jonathan Cornford, Jo Knight and others.
